Yang and Yin is a morning practice with a focus throughout on mindful breathing in movement or stillness. The session begins with warming Yang practices which will get you and your energy moving and waking up. There will be a focus on sun salutes, dynamic flows and standing poses which help build stability and strength. The second part of the class will be time to wind down, relax and get into a more meditative state for the day ahead. Yin poses are more floor based and held for slightly longer periods – slowing down helps set us up for the day ahead. A Yang and Yin practice helps us find our natural balance which we can take with us off the mat.
