Inner Light Nidra.

Sunday 25th March

Bring on the Light!

25th March is the official day we bring an extra hour of light into our day with the start of British Summer Time. Discover your inner light with this soothing, calming yoga nidra workshop. Yoga Nidra translates as “yogic sleep”. In this workshop, you will be in an utterly relaxed, physical state and a completely effortless state of being. At this level of consciousness, deep healing, rejuvenation and creativity can occur. It’s a place where total physical, mental and emotional relaxation happens, a calming withdrawal of the senses. Scientific research has identified that the practice of Yoga Nidra has a profound and lasting effect on mind and body and that this is increased by regular practice, the mind loves repetition. The practice is guided and you will be systematically led on a journey directing the mind’s awareness through the whole body to a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleeping. As we welcome the coming of light outside we will manifest and radiate our own inner light.

The workshop will begin with some deeply held restorative poses to find space and lightness in the physical body and let go of tension, facilitating deep rest in preparation for the stillness of yoga nidra.

Leave feeling light, nourished, nurtured and restored.

What my classes are like

My classes involve a balance of effort and surrender. The emphasis is always on listening to the breath and constantly listening to the body, to ultimately find steadiness and calmness of the mind.

My journey into yoga

I discovered yoga in my early 20’s after attending class with my Mum. Yoga has influenced my life on every level since and the decision to become a yoga teacher was a massive turning point in my life.

My study and credentials

I completed my yoga teacher training in 2014 with a 500hr diploma with The British Wheel of Yoga. Following this I have trained in pregnancy yoga, kids yoga and yoga nidra. As well as a yoga teacher I have been teaching pilates since 2007.
