“I want to unfold, I don’t want to stay folded anywhere because there I am a lie” – Rilke

Come and try a delicious array of transformational practices that call you into deeper relationship with the life force within you.

The Butterfly Course uses movement, yoga, poetry, voice and creative enquiry to deepen intimacy with ourselves and liberate our expression.

The Butterfly practice itself is a sacred feminine mudra practice rooted in Tantra, Kundalini and Kriya yoga. It is a deeply potent practice which helps to improve awareness and tone of the pelvic floor, awaken sexual energy and unblock the body. This and the sister practices taught to complement it, can release habitual patterns of holding which prevent us from accessing our full life force.

Emotional expression is welcomed and our stories are seen as a doorway to our own wisdom and liberation.

The full mudra practice takes three years to learn and is not possible to teach in one day, so this taster day will focus on, yoga, movement to music, poetry and creative enquiry.

There will be a short intro to the Butterfly mudra work and Q and A session on the practice.

Please bring a notebook, a pen and a poem that speaks to your life. If you can’t find a poem, there will be some poem cards available on the day.
