What my classes are like

In my classes, I encourage students to become comfortable and confident in their changing bodies and to feel in tune with themselves. I focus on the therapeutic benefits of yoga, by inviting an awareness of breath and movement.

I also like to create a sense of fun and enjoyment within my classes that allows students to fully relax and feel at ease, therefore getting the most benefit from each class.

My journey into yoga

I discovered the joy of movement and breath awareness in my late teens, using yoga as therapy to help me relax and unwind. During my pregnancy and after the birth of my first son I attended regular yoga classes and soon began a regular daily practice which eventually led me to my first yoga teacher training. I soon began to focus on pregnancy and postnatal yoga as this felt like I was following the path that had been set for me since becoming a mother and raising my three sons.

My study and credentials

After completing my initial teacher training in Ashtanga yoga, I went on to train with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli in pregnancy & postnatal yoga, yoga nidra and yoga therapy specialising in women’s health, specifically focusing on a therapeutic approach to menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy, postnatal recovery, peri menopause and beyond.

This is the work that is most important to me today. I blend my massage therapy training with my yoga training to enable me to work effectively with individuals and groups, focusing on all aspects of women’s health.
