Root to Rise: Jivamukti and Backbends

Saturday 24th February

Yoga Kula is very excited to welcome back international, senior teacher Eyal Chehanowski for a gorgeous grounding and opening practice this February.
This session will link together a Jivamukti style yoga class and exploring the relationship between prana (breath) and apana – the downward and outward flow of energy from the body.
Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice. Combining vigorous hatha and vinyasa with attachment to five key elements: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsā (non-violence, non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation).
In the Jivamukti section of the workshop you will work dynamically to improve asana leg work whilst incorporating Chi Qong, Iyengar and Ashtanga practices.
After the rooting and grounding practice we will then explore the opening qualities using back bending and pranayama to open and flow.
This session is suitable for all levels and will be CPD for current yoga teachers registered with Yoga Alliance.
If you can’t make this workshop, Eyal will be back with four masterclasses on 21st April, 28th July, 25th August and 27th October. He will also be running a special workshop on 24th November. All details will be updated on the Kula website soon.
