Posture. Form. Recovery.

Sunday 18th February

Calling all yogis and athletes! Join Liz for this informative workshop where you will explore how correct alignment on the yoga mat will improve your running, hiking and cycling form. This workshop will take place in a very relaxed setting, where you will learn about your body and discover which poses will be the most beneficial to you and your body before and after exercising.

How would you like your body to move when you exercise? Would you like your body to be relaxed, efficient, smooth, pain-free and free from injuries? Over this two hour workshop, we will look at what we need to do to work towards this goal.

You will focus on your current posture habits and identify areas which need improvement. You will leave with poses which can be easily incorporated into your weekly training, to strengthen the weak areas and stretch out the tight ones, to help bring your body back into balance.

The studio will be gently warmed to 25 degrees using our infrared heaters, easing the aches and pains in your joints and muscles.

The workshop will finish with an all-important savasana in the warmth of the room where you can relax completely and let your body rest.

Please bring a notebook if you’d like to make notes.

What my classes are like

My classes emphasise awareness of breath and movement, enabling students to build intuition as to how to move safely, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

My journey into yoga

I first started practicing yoga in 2010. What began as a way to stretch out after running and triathlon training became something much more. I found yoga to be the perfect complement for any sport (and for life in general!) bringing the body back into balance and increasing clarity and focus.

 My study and credentials

I qualified as a 200 hour registered yoga teacher with Yogacampus, in order to help others feel the transformative physical and mental benefits of yoga for themselves. I’m a keen runner and have many years’ experience as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. I also studied yoga for injuries with Julie Gudmestad and work with athletes from beginners to professionals.
